Online Class/Workshop Registration Form Freedom Schools – Los Angeles is an autonomous, grassroots collective organized by community members, students, and educators to address the educational needs of our communities. Rather than supplement the shortcomings of public education, our goal is to create an alternative educational space that emphasizes learning over memorization, encourages critical thinking, honors the value of manual skills and labor, empowers participants to become active in their communities and struggle against social injustice, and connect our minds, our hearts, and our hands. We welcome any class or workshop that promotes these goals and are receptive to all methods of learning and teaching. We also encourage facilitators to work in pairs or teams. Please be specific to the time and dates that you would like to facilitate a class or workshop. We are very flexible with the schedule. Please note: All facilitators are asked to participate in an orientation prior to the start of your workshop. A member of the Orientation Committee will be in touch with you.
